Unique Job Role Senior Manager Function Engineering & Planning 
Grade/ Band M1 Sub Function Civil 
Location Equinox office Reporting Authority DGM (E&P) 
Job Objective 
Leading a team responsible for Architectural, Civil, Structural, Plumbing, Electrical, HVAC, 
Firefighting works for CNG stations & office buildings, with a strong focus on safety, quality & 
time. To adopt, implement, monitor & ensure industry standards / practices in engineering design 
and planning. Supporting relevant functions such as Contracts & Procurement, Projects and 
Operation & Maintenance by ensuring all applicable technical inputs are made available. 
Functional Competencies

► Knowledgeable of Concept / methodology / approval process of design 
of office buildings, retail outlets, etc. 
► Thorough understanding of material properties related to civil 
structures, etc. 
► Preparation of budget 
► Estimation of Quantity of Work 
► Material planning

► Knowledge of statutory regulations / guidelines, etc. 
► Adequate awareness of International and Indian standards, National 
Building Code 2016, etc. 
► Knowledge and ability to work on Softwares like ACAD, STAADPRO,

Experience & Educational Requirements 
Educational Qualification 
Include Additional Certification if 

► Full time B.E. / B.Tech (Civil) with 1st Class. 

Relevant Experience 

► 10-12 years of post-qualification experience in design of 
office / Industrial buildings and / or retail outlets in Oil & 
Gas, Power industry, preferred knowledge of software

Key responsibilities & Accountabilities 
Safety Compliances: 
• Incorporate safety aspects right from planning stage and ensure MGL safety and standards. 
• Reporting of Safety suggestions, Hazards & near misses. 
• Undertaking site audits. 
Project Planning: 
• Ensure execution of site survey. 
• Finalization of layout / plot plans for CNG stations, City Gate stations, LNG stations, etc. 
and obtaining inter disciplinary checks. 
• Organizing / obtaining soil investigation reports and to analyze the structural requirements 
and cost implications thereof. 
• Planning and design of cost effective options. 
• Getting internal approvals for the design by meeting work requirements indicated by relevant 
• Review and checking of working drawings for statutory approvals. 
• Finalization of scope of work. 
• Preparing budgets for upcoming projects by checking and review of Bill of quantity (BOQ), 
Schedule of Rates (SOR) and hence arriving at the project cost estimates. 
• Actively involving in the departmental budgeting by anticipating the costs involved for 
forthcoming projects. 
Contract Planning: 
• Preparing proposals, Scope of work, estimates & securing approvals. 
• Coordinating with the concerned departments to prepare tender documents for appointing 
Consultants, Contractors and Vendors as applicable. 
• Preparing relevant Bidder Qualification Criteria’s (BQC), Special Conditions of Contracts 
(SCC), resolving pre-bid queries and arranging site visit for the bidders. 
• Participating in Bid evaluation & ensuring award of contracts. 
Engineering and Design: 
• Preparation and updating of Technical Specifications for various materials and works. 
• Preparation of standard drawings. 
• Undertake / manage design work for CNG stations, LNG stations, City gate stations, Office 
building, Stores etc. with strong focus on safety, quality, timeliness, and best industry 

• Checking and review of design basis reports, drawings (for tender, construction, Fabrication, 
As built, etc.), calculations, etc. against contract scope of work, compatibility with latest 
applicable standards, IS codes, building codes/norms, safety laws and overall design 
Technical up-gradation, new initiative and implementation: 
• Incorporating the prevailing engineering / construction practices. 
• Checking the feasibility of technical up gradation and implementing them in the design stage 
for better productivity. 
• Ensure new initiatives are implemented focusing on business needs 
Post design Support: 
• To facilitate / support projects team for site related issues by resolving problems and ensuring 
that work is completed on time and within budget. 
• Managing the proper sequence of planning, execution and completion of projects. 
• People management - Building a competent & effective team by personal attention, 
grooming, instilling team spirit and ensuring relevant trainings for achieving high quality 
• To implement and monitor relevant policies, systems and processes in order to ensure safety,quality, integrity, consistency & effectiveness in the relevant areas.
